1- The Overview page

This page summarizes what's in the database from different points of view. It shows how much accessions are held in each of the 3 genebanks involved, it also it shows countries of origins and how many accessions originated from them, finally it shows the FIGS sets (subsets of material selected with a high likelihood of containing variation for a specific trait. More information about the sets and how they were derived can be found under the About tab) and how many accessions had been identified under each set.

Each item on the page has a link in case a user wants to see a list of those accessions. For example, if you click on "IND", under the "Countries" section, a list will be generated detailing those accessions that originated in INDIA.

2- Navigate accession page

This page shows all the information related to one accession at a time. It gather information from different tables decodes the coded fields and displays them in readable English language. For example, "AFG", the country of origin code, will be displayed as “ AFGANISTAN ”.

You can use the navigation tool bar to move between the accession records using the buttons functions “ First Record ”, “ Previous Record ”, “ Next Record ”, and “ Last Record “

You can move directly to any accession record if they know the accession number by typing in the accession number and clicking on the icon as show in the following image:

In the collect site section there is a map that shows exactly where the accession was collected according to the coordinates given by the collectors. Users can click on the map to zoom in or press the SHIFT key and click on the map to zoom out

3- Data selections page

A table consists of columns (fields) and rows (records) that contain a whole host of information pertaining to a given set of objects; in this case bread wheat accessions. However in most cases a table contains more information than a user may be interested in. The data selection page allows you to determine specifically what accessions you want to work with and what information pertaining to them that you want to capture out of the database. Here we define the fields, or classes of information, and save them in files that we call “ views ” and we define the rows, or records of specific accessions, and save them in files that we call “ queries ”. We have created some general purpose views and queries for those who do not want to register as members (remember - becoming a member is quick and easy and free). Members can create and save there own views and queries (see view builder & query builder)

The list of data will change instantly when users change the selected view or the selected query form the combobox at the top of the page as shown in the following image

The number of rows in a selection is reported in the top of the list header. Rows will be of displayed 30 at the time and the header will show which 30 records of the selection are being displayed. You can click on a row and all the information pertaining to the accession detailed in that will be displayed in navigate accession page.

The tool bar at the end of the page allows you to move between pages using the following buttons. “ First Page ”, “ Previous Page ”, “ Next Page ”, “ Last Page ”, and “ Geomap ”

Clicking on the Geomap button will generate a map that will show the collections sites of the accessions within a selection.
